box-office-selection/v1 · effective 2026-09-10Compare only terminal claims with the same release run, territory, absolute period, reporting time zone, metric, and basis. A claim is eligible when its current verification is accepted, or when it is disputed by a human reviewer and used only as a range endpoint. Exclude unverified, agent- or rule-disputed, needs-review, rejected, and superseded claims. Eligible claims must share one normalized currency. If all eligible values agree, publish one accepted claim as the scalar; prefer the most recently asserted accepted claim and use claim id only as a deterministic tie-break. If eligible values differ, publish the minimum-to-maximum disputed range and retain the endpoint claim ids; prefer an accepted claim when several claims report the same endpoint. Never average reports and never automatically privilege producer-reported or trade-published sources. Keep every claim and verification visible. Corrections append a new verification and, when the outcome changes, a superseding selection.
